Dr. Trujillo received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona. He went on to medical school at the University of Arizona College of Medicine. He then completed his internship in General Surgery at East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina, and continued on to a residency in Anesthesiology at the University of Arizona. He is now an Assistant Professor with the Department of Anesthesiology and is the Co-Director of the Medical Student Program.
