Dr. Lucas was born and raised in Arizona. He did his undergraduate studies at the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physiology and a minor in Chemistry. He attended medical school at MCP Hahnemann School of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania from 2000-2002 and the University of Arizona College of Medicine from 2002-2004. He was Vice President of the Latino Medical Student Association in 2002. He did his internship in Internal Medicine at the University of Arizona, as well as his Anesthesiology Residency. Dr. Lucas was Administrative Chief Resident for obstetric anesthesiology from 2007-2008. He is now a faculty member at The University of Arizona College of Medicine and is a member of the cardiothoracic anesthesia team.
