Dr. Groysman received his Doctor of Medicine from Tajikistan State Medical University in Dushanbe, Soviet Union in 1975. He did his residency in the Department of Internal Medicine in 1987 at Takjikistan State Medical University. From 1977 to 1981, he was an attending physician in the Cardio-Rheumatology Unit at Republic Clinical Hospital #3, before going on to a Research Fellowship which he completed in 1984. After completion of his fellowship, Dr. Groysman was a faculty member and Clinical Supervisor in the Intensive Care Unit and the Republic Cardiac Center in the Department of Internal Medicine at Tajikistan State Medical University until 1992. After immigrating to the United States, he completed his internship in the Department of Internal Medicine at the Detroit Medical Center/Sinai Hopsital in Detroit, Michigan. He then went on to his residency in Anesthesiology at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois, which he finished in 2001. Dr. Groysman worked as an Attending Anesthesiologist at Mercy Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. This practice involved a good mixture of general anesthesia cases, including vascular, ortho, neuro, pediatric and obstetric anesthesia. He then moved to Tucson, Arizona, where he took a position as an Attending Anesthesiologist with the Southern Arizona VA Health Care System, as well as a position as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Arizona College of Medicine. Today he is the Chief of the Anesthesia Department for the Southern Arizona VA Health Care System. This practice involves supervising CRNA's and Anesthesiology residents in CT, neuro, ortho, vascular and general anesthesia cases.
